Step 8:
When you are happy with your boot, copy the layer, move it with the move tool (V), then CRTL+T and right click to get the ‘Flip Vertical’ option. You might also need to use the Perspective command again, depending on the shape of your boot.

Then it is a case of copying the two boot layers again and moving them into position, scaling, rotating and using the perspective again if necessary.
Step 10:
Now the footprints look good, but when you walk in the snow you make ‘holes’ in it. To create this effect we need to work on our background layer. I don’t want to work in it directly, in case I change my mind, so we are going to copy and paste small areas of it onto new layers. Then these we can easily delete if we want. Select the Marquee tool (M) and drag around the first footprint. Now CRTL+J to paste onto a new layer.

Repeat this with the other footprints:

Ok, now the good part. With ‘Snow 1′ layer highlighted, click the Burn tool (O) and right-click to get the brush menu. Make the brush small and soft (0% Hardness). Now paint in upward movements around the top half of the boot. Click the eraser tool (E) and make sure the boot layer is highlighted. Erase with a hard brush just around the bottom edge of the boot, as we wouldn’t be able to see this in real life. Going back to the snow layer, click and hold the burn tool until the menu drops down. Now choose the dodge tool and paint around the bottom of the boot. We now have simulated shadows and highlights around the footprint.
Step 13.
Repeat for each foot:
